Interactive Retail Device Enhances Customer Experiences
SAN FRANCISCO,
CA, February 29, 2004 - Nexus Technologies, Inc., a full-service manufacturer
of interactive technology systems, announced at the FMI Marketechnics show
in San Francisco its launch of the NeXeon(tm) 5. The NeXeon(tm) 5 is the most
recent product to be launched by some of the nation's leading developers of
interactive price verification terminals, many of which have been installed
by several national leading supermarket and mass merchandise retailers. The
NeXeon(tm) 5 is a self-contained computing system incorporating a Nexus embedded
single board computer platform based on the Intel XScale processor. The NeXeon(tm)
5 includes a 5.7" color or monochrome LCD panel and an optional touch screen
suitable for retail and industrial applications. Ports are provided for the
use of various peripherals. "The NeXeon(tm) 5 represents a step beyond
simple price verification systems with the application of multi-functional,
yet affordable technology intended to enhance customer experiences in the
retail environment," says Dan Conti, Nexus' president. "Its compact
footprint means it can be mounted on an end cap, shelf or pole for convenient
access by consumers." The NeXeon(tm) 5 integrates with in-store processors
over existing 10/100 Base T Ethernet and 802.11b wireless local area networks.
